Grafting and Tree Guilds for Permaculture. Demos and hands-on experience with multiple tools and techniques. We’ll discuss a technique good for guerrilla grafting, recommended variety selection for no-spray fruits, and we’ll probably do an example of a very “extensive” guilding technique that’s good for larger sites in the Great Lakes region. We’ll also give some tips on heterozygosity and organization/timing for functionality and harvesting, and see how those design concept influenced this project design.
Schedule and discussion will be organized by Mike Hoag, but all are welcome to come, help lead the demonstrations and share their knowledge experience!
We’ll have snacks and social time, as well. Dress appropraitely for outdoor work in the season.
Thank you to Rachelle Roos for hosting!
